Daniel Benisty

We’re thrilled to have the talented Daniel Benisty with us in our piano room. Entertainer, Songwriter,  Poet, Linguist, Voice Impersonator and Bandleader who performs a complete mix of pop, soul, latin, variete française, jazz, swing and blues. Expect a variety of mellow jazz (covers of Billie Holiday & Nat King Cole) to upbeat Swing (eg. Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tony Bennett) to Soul (Bill Withers & Stevie Wonder) to interactive Singalong (Elton John, Elvis, Ed Sheeran & The Beatles) to popular repertoire from France, Belgium, Italy, Mexico, Russia, Portugal, Spain, Brazil.

Originally from London, Daniel started his musical journey in his 20s whilst living and working in Switzerland. Developing as a Jazz Pianist and Blues singer (separately), Daniel studied jazz at EJMA and toured as a singer with a number of Swiss bands who performed regularly at Blues, Jazz and Rock festivals in France, Switzerland, Germany and Italy. Alongside a passion for Jazz and Blues, Daniel’s operatic and musical theatre styles have seen him perform on a variety of stages across the UK and Europe where he has performed as Elvis (Geneva, Switzerland), Freddie Mercury (Frankfurt, Germany) and as a lead Italian tenor in a London production of “Lend me a Tenor”. As well as having an extremely wide repertoire of songs spanning 1920 to 2020, Daniel also sings in a dozen languages, including Italian, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian. Alongside his Anglo-French musical home, Toulouse Lautrec, Daniel has also performed at The Ritz, The Ivy, The Dorchester, The Wellsley, The Hilton, Home House, the Troubadour and many other prime London music venues, both solo as a pianist/singer and with his band, The London Swing and Soul Band.Daniel has also been Musical Director, Bandleader and Principle Resident musician at Caffe Concerto, RAC Club, Bar 48, The Savoy, Cafe 1001 and the Phoenix Arts Club
