Arthur West brings his treasure house of New Orleans, Chicago and Harlem Stride Piano stylings to Toulouse Lautrec. Having studied some of the UKs and US's leading performers, Arthur has found his own unique sound to cater for the budding South Londoner's. Whether it's Fats Waller, Jerry Lee Lewis, or Fats Domino, you are in for a dinner treat.

" You've got the left hand for this"
Jools Holland 2012

Learning to play by immersing himself in the scene, rather than taking traditional lessons, Arthur has found his true calling; by playing the older traditional jazz styles. With licks borrowed from Jools Holland, all the way to Art Tatum, and even your regular piano bar masters, Arthur has precured his own unique piano-isms - which are jazzy, yet attainable to the masses. Having led various blues bands in North England, Arthur is now making a name in London.

”Definitely against the tide"

ArchiPol is a singer, who writes and performs songs that are not only romantic and melancholic but often sublimely quirky. ArchiPol sings about life in a modern city in all its many facets with the vocal cheekiness reminiscent of Juliette, the musical versatility of Gainsbourg, the dandyism of Jacques Dutronc, whilst giving reference to Boris Vian. He creates intimate songs, each one taking his audience on a journey, with stories that are inviting, atmospheric and full of singular charm. No one resembles another. Yet somehow, in employing his unique writing style and delivering an aural feast, he effortlessly links them all together.

"An archipelago of beautiful songs."
Paris Normandie

After several years of living in London, ArchiPol returned to France. He is back in the UK to appear in several London concerts, at the Toulouse Lautrec Jazz Club and the legendary Chelsea Arts Club. Onstage, with his cello and his guitar, he also is accompanied by a band of close friends and talented bright young musicians: Romain Malan (cello), Oliver Barwell-Aufray (guitar) and Ayo Vincent (keyboard).

As a young man, ArchiPol chose an eclectic path of study which began in France, continued in the United States and ended in the United Kingdom, where, at the Royal College of Music, he challenged himself to learn one of the most demanding art forms of all: opera. After this extensive training ArchiPol began to forge and create his own unique and entirely individual voice.
