Award-winning jazz vocalist Niki King and internationally renowned harpist, PRS Award winner, Alina Bzhezhinska, star in the highly anticipated new show -Timeless Stories.

Together they showcase their musical skills through the art of beautiful melodies and poetic lyrics, within a truly intimate performance. Featuring timeless songs, by some of the greatest song-writers, from Jobim to Jack Brel, Nina Simone to Duke Ellington.

King and Bzhezhinska first performed together in the Niki King Quintet for the Songs of Duke Ellington Show, which toured throughout the UK and received rave reviews. Their next collaboration was for an original song-score, performed live at the British Film Institute in London. Since then they created the show, Timeless Stories, exploring the unique sound of jazz voice and classical harp.

Jazz singer/song-writer Niki King won the acclaimed UK Perrier Jazz Award, Scottish Style Award and Spirit of Scotland Music Medal. King has released five albums and performed at leading venues and festivals throughout the world such as The Blue Note, New York and Tokyo, Ronnie Scott’s, London, The Edinburgh International Jazz Festival and Glastonbury. King has also performed alongside musical legends, Al Green, The Average White Band and jazz star Gregory Porter. King has garnered 5* reviews for her live shows and last year completed her first film song-score performed live at the British Film Institute in London.

Internationally renowned harpist Alina Bzhezhinska first stormed the UK music scene in 2017 when her quartet featured alongside the legendary Pharoah Sanders. A performance that nominated her for Jazz FM’s Best Live Experience of the Year. After winning the PRS Women Make Music Award Bzhezhinska produced her critically acclaimed album, Inspiration (Ubuntu Music), backed by award winner saxophonist Tony Kofi, bassist Larry Bartley and drummer Joel Prime. Her ensembles, HipHarpCollective and Alina Bzhezhinska Quartet have performed at Edinburgh International Festival, Royal Albert Hall in London, Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club and WOMADalaide Festival, Australia.
