”A Celebration of Female Jazz Artists"

Award-winning jazz vocalist, lyricist and producer, Georgia Mancio, presents a celebration of the female artists and writers that have most inspired and influenced her including: Abbey Lincoln, Sheila Jordan, Elis Regina, Violetta Parra, Dorothy Fields, alongside originals.

Award-winning jazz vocalist, lyricist and producer, Georgia Mancio, is one of Europe’s most respected, adventurous and multi-faceted new artists. Her multi-lingual music references classic jazz and Latin alongside her own astonishing writing, always stamped with an unfailing emotional integrity.

““an object lesson in subtlety…in the impact of nuance…It’s beautiful”
All About Jazz

“Impossible not to fall in love with her voice…a magnificent example of strength and talent.”
Jazz in Europe

”Pure, well enunciated vocals…a real talent for jazz phrasing…a highly skilful storyteller…The air of fragile beauty was haunting and effective."
The Jazz Mann

“[Mancio] has everything covered – technical mastery, expressive range and a remarkable versatility”
The Observer

Her stellar quintet features the fast-rising harpist Alina Bzhezhinska (widely acknowledged for her tributes to Alice Coltrane and Dorothy Ashby) and flautist/pianist/composer Gareth Lockrane whose credits include Bheki Mseleku, James Taylor and his own award-winning Big Band. The highly acclaimed bassist Julie Walkington (Tina May, Jim Mullen, Martin Speake) and drummer Dave Ohm (Ian Shaw, Claire Martin, Gregory Porter) complete this exciting new band.

Her other credits include Bobby McFerrin, Liane Carroll, Ian Shaw, Bobby Wellins, Gwilym Simcock, Darius Brubeck, Pat Metheny (lyric approval), her own festivals ReVoice! and Hang and multiple nominations in the Parliamentary, British Jazz and Urban Music Awards.
