TYPE OF EVENT : Jazz, Dinner Jazz, Storytelling through song

A prolific songwriter, Theo Jackson writes from the heart. He finds inspiration for his songs everywhere - from the tale of a homeless man who is befriended by a little girl proving that no-one is ever really alone, to that of a lonely tortoise.

This singer/songwriter refuses to be constrained by any one style. With a distinctive voice, his songs are drawn from the imagination of a natural storyteller and have an ethereal, other-worldly quality while being grounded in reality.

With a solid live performance career which has seen him tour music venues throughout the UK and make sold-out appearances at some of the country's most prestigious festivals, Theo is quickly gaining recognition and fans.

"One of the most interesting jazz vocalists and composers to emerge on the British scene in recent years, Jackson can flit between ballads and rapid-fire scatting in the blink of an eye."
The Daily Telegraph

"One of Britain's finest jazz musicians and singers."
Michael Wilson, JAZZ FM

"Listen out for Jackson's beguiling songwriting skills delivered via his strong earthy vocals and alluring charm."

”Top Bopper Back by Popular Demand"

Sonny Rollins-influenced tenor saxophonist, featured in a sold-out LJF concert last November, returns by popular demand to Toulouse Lautrec supported by a stellar rhythm section led by bassist Simon Woolf.

Welsh-born Roberts, after moving to London to take up a place at the Royal Academy of music, rapidly gained recognition as one of the UKs finest straight-ahead tenor saxophonists performing regularly with such luminaries as Mike Carr, Peter King, Jim Mullen and Mark Nightingale. The quintet formed with RAM colleagues Steve and Matt Fishwick recorded three critically acclaimed albums the first of which featured jazz legends Cedar Walton and Peter Washington. A later incarnation of this group performed in 2016 at three of NYC’s top clubs, Smalls, Smoke and Dizzy's.

Relocating to Prague in 2008, Osian has established himself as a valued member of the Czech & Central European jazz scene. He is a regular member of the Czech Radio Big Band and has toured with pianist Kirk Lightsey & former Jazz Messenger Valery Ponomarev.

"...the star of the show is (Osian) Roberts, whose booming, old-school tenor sound is magisterial and concise"
John Fordham (The Guardian)

“...Osian Roberts’ robust, beautifully controlled tenor sax kept up a continual barrage of inspired creation”
Trudie Squires (

“Osian is one of Britain's finest saxophone players... His intimate style and warm tone combine with an original and contemporary melodic approach, which make his playing fresh and accessible”
Ray Clapton (

“The most important saxophone player to be produced in this country since the late, lamented Tubby Hayes”
Peter Broadbent (Author: “Charlie Christian: Solo Flight”)
