A night exploring the songs and the life of Richard Rogers.


Richard Rodgers is known as one of the best songwriters in The Great American Songbook. He has written many famous classics such as 'Have You Met Miss Jones', 'Manhattan' and 'Isn't it Romantic'. Jazz singer Lydia Bell explores his music and his collaborations in an intimate setting, with a band comprising Guildhall School of Music and Drama jazz graduates.

Lydia Bell recently graduated from Guildhall School of Music and Drama with a masters in Jazz Performance. She has a classic jazz voice, a natural fit for such classic songs from Richard Rodgers. Her sensitivity and maturity in her performances is captivating, delivering compelling stories in both her singing and talking to her audience. With a rich, warm tone, her voice appeals to jazz fans and non-jazz fans alike. This unstoppable rhythm section are some of the top young jazz musicians in the country and are sure to bring class, excitement and prodigious skill to the evening.
