TYPE OF EVENT : Jazz, Jazz Tribute

”An evening in honour of the two greats.”

Two young jazz artists perform together to celebrate the music of Ella Fitzgerald and Joe Pass! 2017 states 100 years since Ella’s birth and over 30 years past the last album recorded by Ella & Joe. Combining the traditional sound with their own arrangements, Ami & Yur present the history of the duo and the art of the vocal & guitar combo. Come and be a part of their week in honour of the two greats.

Ami Oprenova - Vocals
Yur Yesli - Guitar

Ami Oprenova (Bulgria) and Yur Yesli (Canada) met at the late show jam at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in 2016 when they found and shared a mutual passion for blues, bebop, swing and manouche jazz. Both leaders of London based gypsy-swing influences bands (Coco ‘n’ the Fellas/The Cat’s Whiskers) and touring Europe with different ensembles, they take on a new project as duo influenced by the music of Ella Fitzgerald & Joe Pass.
