Exploring the music of the
Legendary Milton Nascimento with a fresh jazz twist

Milton Nascimento Explored is a project that brings to life the best compositions by Milton Nascimento rearranged for an authentic Brazilian rhythm section and UK jazz artists frontline, taking the listeners to a place they have never been before.

Born in 1942, International songwriter and singing superstar Milton Nascimento may have his roots in Brazil, but his songs have touched audiences all over the world. Born in Rio, he began singing as a teenager. His many achievements include multiple Grammy nominations and he is also winner of the 1992 Down Beat International Critics' Poll and the 1991 Down Beat Readers' Poll. Nascimento has toured throughout the U.S., Europe, Japan and Latin America. Two of his many crowning achievements include brilliant collaborations with Herbie Hancock in 2010 (Under Tokyo Skies) and Wayne Shorter in 1973 (Native Dancer).

At 73, this charismatic Brazilian artist refuses to slow down. Whether he's packing a stadium in Brazil or singing at a club in New York, Nascimento’s experienced stage persona allows everyone in the audience to feel as if they're in his living room.

This project seeks to capture those sentiments.

Milton Nascimento Explored is led by London-based vocalist Noemi Nuti, who will be bringing to life the best work of the Brazilian composer extraordinaire Milton Nascimento, with a fresh twist.

Following the success of her debut album, 'Nice to Meet You', Noemi returns with something new.

The project launched in mid-February 2017 at Pizza Express Jazz Club, London, where she was joined by British Jazz titans Liam Noble (piano) and Jean Toussaint (sax), who will team up with an all-Brazilian rhythm section for these nights.

This fantastic six piece band mixes the familiar sounds of jazz with famous songs of Brazil, taking you somewhere you’ve never been before.
