Remi Harris is an exciting Jazz & Blues guitarist from the UK whose unique style draws inspiration from artists such as Django Reinhardt, Jimi Hendrix, Wes Montgomery, Peter Green and Led Zeppelin. He has performed at Buckingham Palace, Montreal Jazz Festival, BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall with Jamie Cullum, on BBC 4 Television and live on BBC Radio 2 & 3.
In his live shows Remi plays an eclectic mix of jazz standards, improvisations, original compositions and new arrangements of his favourite tunes. He plays a variety of acoustic and electric guitars and the shows are interspersed with his commentary about the history of the music and instruments he’s playing.
Remi will be accompanied by Tom Moore on double bass.
"an extraordinary musician" Jamie Cullum, BBC Radio 2
"astonishing stuff" Cerys Matthews, BBC Radio 2 & BBC 6 Music
Following the statement by the Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Toulouse Lautrec, along with the other major Jazz Clubs in London, we have made the heart breaking decision to temporarily close our doors. The safety of our artists, audience members and staff
is our priority, and this felt like the only responsible course of action we could take.
As an independent family run venue, this will have a huge impact on many levels and as you can imagine, means we are in for a very tough time: our lovely, loyal staff’s source of income is under threat, musicians have been left in the devastating position
of having gigs cancelled… and finally, our beautiful venue, which relies on all of your support. For 11 years we survived many hurdles and we are simply not sure we can survive this one.
